SEVENOAKS TOWN NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN – CALL TO LOCAL SPORTING ORGANISATIONS WHO WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN UPDATING THE SEVENOAKS TOWN SPORTS STRATEGY

Following the success of the previous Sevenoaks Town Sports Strategy (2015), which has resulted in £1.2 million being invested into sports provision within the Town, Sevenoaks Town Council is now looking to update the document by producing a second Sevenoaks Town Sports Strategy. Similarly to the previous iteration, this document will set out a long-term strategy for future sports provision in the town, including opportunities, their feasibility, and a delivery timetable.

In order to facilitate the production of the updated document, a Working Group of local sports organisations is due to be set up. The purpose of this group is to make recommendations to the Open Spaces & Leisure Committee on what the document should contain, including priorities, direction and delivery.

Membership of the STSS Group is open to local sports organisations in Sevenoaks Town, and meetings will be open to the public. New members can join at any time, and the Town Council welcomes new voices to help influence the future of sporting provision in Sevenoaks Town.

An initial meeting to establish the STSS Group has now been arranged for 6:30pm on Wednesday 4th October 2023, at the Town Council Chambers, Bradbourne Vale Road, TN13 3QG.
