Commonwealth Day 2020

The Mayor of Sevenoaks, Councillor Nick Busvine, OBE and Town Councillors were delighted to be joined by Sevenoaks Air Cadets and Westerham Sea Cadets to raise the Commonwealth Day flag on Monday 9 March at the Town Council Offices.

The messages from HM The Queen and the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth were read out and after the flag was raised, the Mayor gave an interesting resume of the history and constitution of the Commonwealth which was appreciated by those present.
