News Release NATIONAL DAY OF REFLECTION

On the inaugural Day of Reflection, on 23rd March 2021, to commemorate one year on from the first lock-down in 2020, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Sevenoaks, Cllr Nicholas Busvine OBE and Cllr Dr Merilyn Canet planted two yellow rose bushes in the newly formed memorial rose garden at the recently completed Bat & Ball Centre in Sevenoaks.
The Day of Reflection is dedicated to the memory of loss and suffering during the Coronavirus pandemic, the victory of life and the monumental achievements of those in the caring professions.
At 12 noon a minute’s silence was held remembering the lives lost.
Sevenoaks residents can arrange for a memorial rose to be planted in the memorial garden for a loved one. council@sevenoakstown.gov.uk for details.
