Message to Rheinbach

The Mayor of Sevenoaks, Cllr Dr Merilyn Canet has sent the following message to our Twin Town Rheinbach as they struggle to cope with devastating floods.

“Sevenoaks is twinned with your beautiful town. Some years ago, I had the pleasure of visiting your area with some of my fellow councillors. I would like to express our sympathy with the awful natural events this week that have done so much damage to people in Germany. I will talk with the Town Council and the Friends of Rheinbach to offer some help, tomorrow. You and your community are much in our thoughts at this difficult time”.

The Friends of Rheinbach Group are also currently researching whether there are any practical ways of helping.
