PRESS RELEASE: Funding towards solar panel installation at the Stag Theatre

At the meeting of the Town Council’s Finance & General Purposes Committee held on 26th September, consideration was given to a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding request from the Stag Community Arts Centre towards the cost of the installation of solar panels at The Stag Theatre,
The Committee welcomed the proposal which would enhance a significant community asset and was in keeping with the Town Council’s No.1 Priority, Climate Change initiatives, as set out in its Green Community Investment Plan.
Community Infrastructure Levy funding of £19,400 towards the cost of the installation of solar panels was approved, subject to the remaining funding required being obtained and the project going ahead.
