PRESS RELEASE: Oak tree planted by Sevenoaks Mayor to commence replacement of trees lost in a fire earlier this year.

The Mayor of Sevenoaks, Councillor Claire Shea, today planted an Oak tree (Quercus Robur) in Greatness Recreation Ground in Sevenoaks to commence the replacement of trees lost in a fire earlier in the year.

The Mayor said: ‘I’m delighted to be able to plant this oak today. I hope it will provide valuable wildlife habitat for many years to come and help the recovery of the wildlife habitat in the fire-damaged area of our park.’
