Sevenoaks Town Council publishes Guide for Residents on start of the 20mph limit scheme in Sevenoaks

Some roads in Sevenoaks town will be having new signage and road markings installed from 12th August for the enforcement of the 20mph speed limit from 1st October 2024 to boost road safety and help the environment.

A new four-page leaflet has been produced which is available to pick up around Sevenoaks at the Town Council offices in Bradbourne Vale Road, the Sevenoaks library, the Bat and Ball Centre, Bat and Ball Station, the Stag in London Road, and Café on the Vine Gardens.

The leaflet entitled Your guide to the 20mph speed limit scheme in Sevenoaks includes a Q and A which aims to explain the process and answer residents’ questions.

For further information and links to interactive maps and the leaflet, go to the Consultations page of the Sevenoaks Town Council website on www.sevenoakstown.gov.uk

To view the interactive map which shows the roads due to be included, as well as crashes reported between 1st April 2013 to 31st March 2023, please use this link https://rb.gy/q7q0aw

Works are being scheduled and undertaken by Kent County Council. The 20mph Scheme is funded by Sevenoaks Town Council from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) paid for by developers. There will be no increase in Council Tax for this project.
