Fancy a friendly chat? We're launching a Chatter & Natter table
Published: 05 August 2025
Sevenoaks Town Council is inviting residents to come together and connect through conversation, as we launch a Chatter & Natter table at Café on the Vine. This is part of the national Chatty Café Scheme.
The Mayor of Sevenoaks, Cllr Tony Clayton, will launch the scheme in Sevenoaks at Café on the Vine, the Town Council-owned café on Dartford Road, on Wednesday 20 August, 1.30 pm to 3 pm, and everyone is welcome to attend. Following the launch, friendly local volunteers will host the Chatter & Natter table on Wednesdays at the same time, 1.30 pm to 3 pm, providing a regular opportunity for people to drop in and have a chat.
Whether you fancy a friendly conversation or know someone who might benefit from a warm and welcoming space, this Chatter & Natter table is a simple way to connect with others in your community.

The Chatty Café Scheme was founded by Alex Hoskyn, who was inspired to start the initiative after experiencing many days alone as a new parent. For people who may live on their own or do not have an extensive social network, a conversation with someone can really brighten their day. A Chatter & Natter table creates a space for people to talk, whether it’s for 10 minutes while you enjoy a cup of tea or an hour of good conversation.
