Sevenoaks Town Council urges residents to engage with Sevenoaks District Council's Public Consultation on what its Local Plan 2040 ought to contain

Sevenoaks District Council (SDC), in its capacity as the Local Planning Authority, has released its Regulation 18 Public Consultation for what its Local Plan 2040 ought to contain. This is a unique opportunity for residents of Sevenoaks District to influence how SDC plan for the future, as the document, once adopted, will shape the framework through which development is supplied across the District for the next ~twenty years.
The consultation document is split into 10 sections which look at SDC’s proposed approach to the following topics:
- Development Strategy
- Housing Choice for All
- Employment and Economy
- Climate Change
- Design
- Health and Wellbeing
- Historic Environment
- Natural Environment
- Infrastructure
- Transport
Sevenoaks Town Councillors have urged its local residents to read through the document and respond to the public consultation before it closes on 11th January 2023.

Sevenoaks Town Council will be discussing and approving its response to the consultation document via a meeting of the Planning Committee scheduled for 9th January 2022.
