PRESS RELEASE: Sevenoaks Town Council's second Design a Christmas Light Competition winner

Following the success of last year’s Design a Christmas Light Competition, Sevenoaks Town Council again invited children under the age of 11 to submit their designs for a new Christmas Light for Sevenoaks Town Centre.

 

There was a great response and the Town Council would like to thank all the children who took the time to send us their fantastic artwork.

 

Congratulations go to this year’s winner, 6-year-old Lottie, for her wonderful design of a Christmas Angel which has been turned into a fantastic Christmas Light.

 

The light was installed at The Stag Theatre, and on Monday 18th December Lottie and her family attended a switch on ceremony with the Mayor, Councillor Claire Shea, and Andrew Eyre, Chief Executive of The Stag.

The Mayor commented:
Lottie’s light is a brilliant addition to our town Christmas decorations. I think her lovely angel design works beautifully with last year’s Santa winner, and we will be putting them up every year in the town. I hope this is the beginning of a tradition which we can all enjoy, and that Lottie and her family enjoy spotting her light for many years to come.”
