Published: 17 December 2025
Sevenoaks Town Team’s annual Best Dressed Window Competition returned this year, and once again the town is looking truly spectacular.
Kindly sponsored by Sevenoaks District Chamber of Commerce, this year’s competition was judged by the Mayor of Sevenoaks, Cllr Tony Clayton, alongside Dawn Blee, CEO of Sevenoaks District Chamber of Commerce. With an impressive array of imaginative and beautifully executed displays, judging proved to be no easy task.
There were three categories: retail, office and hospitality. This year’s winners were:
Retail:
1st Place: Sevenoaks Bookshop
Joint 2nd Place:
• Linklater & Warren
• Sevenoaks Haberdashery
• Crop Hair
Office:
1st Place: John Kingston
2nd Place: NFU Mutual
3rd Place: Generational Wealth Management
Hospitality:
1st Place: Dulce’s Patisserie
2nd Place: The Restoration
Retro Zo’s Sweets on St Johns Hill also received a Highly Commended award in recognition of a great decorative effort.
The retail category was particularly close, with three businesses tied for second place and several others narrowly missing out. The winning retailer, Sevenoaks Bookshop, captivated the judges with a magical Narnia-themed display, complete with a wardrobe.
In the hospitality category, Dulce’s Patisserie impressed with stunning gingerbread house creations, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship.
The judges were looking for thoughtful and creative designs. A standout trend this year was the use of beautifully hand-painted windows.
There are so many wonderful details in the window displays in Sevenoaks this year, offering plenty for passers-by to admire. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stop, take a closer look, and choose a favourite of their own.
