At the Annual Town Public Meeting on 9 March, Sevenoaks Town Council awarded 13 local organisations with grants in its second round of funding this financial year.

The Town Council recognises the vital role local voluntary and charitable organisations play in supporting residents, particularly at a time of increasing financial pressures.

Sevenoaks Town Council is pleased to support a wide range of groups contributing to the wellbeing of the town. The following grants were awarded to local organisations:

  • Art in June: £500
  • Baby Umbrella: £1,971
  • DAVSS (Domestic Abuse Volunteer Support Service): £1,000
  • D’Vine Singers: £1,350
  • Friends of Rheinbach: £500
  • The Hygiene Bank Sevenoaks: £2,000
  • Recovery & Wellbeing College, Kent & Medway Mental Health Trust: £810
  • Sevenoaks Volunteer Transport Group: £1,000
  • South East Open Studios: £300
  • We Are Beams: £1,584
  • West Kent Mediation: £900
  • Sevenoaks Three Arts Festival: £600
  • Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra: £500

These grant applications were approved by the Finance & Delivery Committee and Youth Services Committee in February. The reports from previous grant recipients were also reviewed at these Committee meetings. Councillors praised the high level of community engagement demonstrated across the town and commented that the grants had been well directed.

Leader of Sevenoaks Town Council, Cllr Claire Shea, said, “Many organisations are doing vital work to enhance the quality of life for Sevenoaks residents. We are so pleased that Sevenoaks Town Council can support these efforts through meaningful grant funding.”

The next round of Sevenoaks Town Council grant applications will be considered in September 2026, with applications due in August.

The 2025/26 grant recipient reports are available to read on the Town Council website. You can find them on the Grants Information page here to learn more about the valuable work being supported through grant funding.
